Volunteers
For generations, Huntsville Hospital has depended on support from volunteers. In fact, Huntsville Hospital
was founded in 1895 by volunteers! Throughout the years and to this day, Huntsville Hospital literally could not
function without the support of charitable citizens.
When Alabama’s newest hospital opens in Madison, volunteers will be welcomed with open arms. In order to
serve the community with the highest level of compassionate care, Madison Hospital will need a community of
volunteers to serve in a variety of ways.
Opportunities include:
- Greeting visitors and answering questions
- Delivering flowers and cards to patients
- Greeting patients and helping with registration
- Supporting hospital staff
- Transporting patients
- Working in the Gift Shop
- Delivering mail to hospital departments
