August 2010: Four large elevator and stairwell shafts — the tallest currently at 84 feet high — now dominate the landscape in the Madison Hospital construction zone. Structural steel is anticipated to hit the jobsite in a few weeks, and Robins & Morton will begin erecting steel by mid-September. More.

Welcome to the home page of Madison Hospital, Alabama’s newest hospital which will be built and operated by Huntsville Hospital to serve the residents of the City of Madison and communities in western Madison County. Groundbreaking for the new 60-bed hospital is scheduled for late 2009 with completion by February 2012. Madison Hospital is an affiliate of Huntsville Hospital, an 881-bed regional referral center that was established in 1895 in Huntsville, AL. Huntsville Hospital is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital serving residents in north Alabama and southern Tennessee. In addition to the future hospital in Madison, Huntsville Hospital also operates the 101-bed Athens-Limestone Hospital (ALH) in Athens. ALH affiliated with Huntsville Hospital in 2007.
