Support for the new Madison Hospital is growing! Recently, Famous Joe’s Pizzeria held a fundraiser with a portion of proceeds benefiting the new hospital. Madison Hospital president, Mary Lynne Wright, is pictured with Joe Carlucci, owner of Famous Joe’s.

 

 

 


Sparkman High School supports local cancer patients

Sparkman High School girls’ soccer coach, Stacy Junjulas (center) and players Courtney and Kelly Futrell made a generous donation from their “Soccer for a Cure” event to the Robin Lanier Stewart Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation.  

Sparkman High School girls’ soccer coach, Stacy Junjulas (center) and players Courtney and Kelly Futrell made a generous donation from their “Soccer for a Cure” event to the Robin Lanier Stewart Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation. The Stewart Fund provides financial assistance for local patients who need help paying for medications associated with their cancer treatment. The students held the event as a way to give back after hearing about a soccer coach who was diagnosed with cancer.

Venturi’e employees also made a generous gift to the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund. To top it off, Venturi Inc. generously matched the gifts toward both projects!

 


Ardmore High School Hosts “Playing for Preemies”

Ardmore High School recently hosted “Playing for Preemies,” a special football game celebrating the lives of Huntsville Hospital’s tiniest patients. Sales from their t-shirts and donations benefited the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Pink Heals Tour visits Madison & Huntsville

Breast Center Breast Health Specialist Sandra Cross joins a Madison Fire & Rescue fireman at the Pink Heals Tour held in late August.  

Breast Center Breast Health Specialist Sandra Cross joins a Madison Fire & Rescue fireman at the Pink Heals Tour held in late August. The Pink Heals Tour encourages breast cancer survivors to autograph the sides of pink fire trucks as they tour across the nation. Both the Madison and Huntsville Fire Departments sold t-shirts and food at the event with proceeds benefiting the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

 


Fraternal Order of Eagles Supports the Hospital

The Fraternal Order of Eagles recently made a generous donation to the Foundation to fund various hospital equipment and program needs for the Neonatal ICU, Heart Center and Pediatric Oncology. RGK Foundation supports HH System MMU program

We wish to extend our sincerest thanks for RGK Foundation’s support through a grant towards the outfitting and operations of Huntsville Hospital’s new Mobile Medical Unit (MMU). This gift takes us one step closer to putting the final pieces of this exciting program in place and getting the vehicle on the road this fall!

Huntsville Hospital Foundation has been seeking funds to assist in the purchase and initial operation of a fully equipped MMU to enable Huntsville Hospital to extend community outreach services and aid in disaster response. Through the generous support of local individuals, businesses and now RGK Foundation, this vision is quickly becoming a reality!


Tortora’s supports Huntsville Hospital’s tiniest patients

In June, Tortora’s restaurant overflowed with patrons who enjoyed a night supporting Huntsville Hospital’s tiniest patients! At its “Pizza, Pasta and Preemies” event, Tortora’s generously donated 100% of each dinner bill to the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund at Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary Generously Supports Huntsville Hospital Foundation

Aquadex consoles for the hospital’s Congestive Heart Failure Clinic are just one of the recent purchases made possible by the Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary. The Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary recently donated $223,407 to Huntsville Hospital Foundation. These funds will benefit many departments throughout the hospital by providing equipment, reference materials, and program support.

The Foundation is extremely thankful for the hard work and support of the Huntsville Hospital Auxiliary. The support of these generous volunteers makes it possible for Huntsville Hospital to continue to set a standard of excellence in health care.
