On March 6, more than 350 people gathered in the Chan Auditorium at UAHuntsville to enjoy international artist, Rezwana Bannya, as she performed the music of Bangladesh at “An Afternoon of Tagore.” The event was special not only because it brought the community together to celebrate the rich diversity and cultural arts for which Huntsville is known, but also because it was the first fundraising event for the new Madison Hospital. Dr. Ashish Basu, chairman of the event says, “I am very proud and happy with the overwhelming support of the community. We, as an Indian community, are proud to be associated with the new hospital and to help the community we live in. Ms. Bannya was very happy to be a part of the fundraiser and expresses her gratitude and thanks to the community.”

Thank you to all who attended “An Afternoon of Tagore,” and a special thank you to all of the committee members who worked tirelessly to make the event a success!
